Hauptmann Von Kopenick is a handcrafted doll with felt hands and glass eyes, in the military uniform of the early 1900's Prussian Army. Inside the box there is a newspaper article on the original Captain of Kopenick, an out-of-work cobbler who pulled off the zaniest military impersonation and hoax ever.
Marks/Dates: Box reads (translated), "Souvenir of Berlin, Capital of the German Democratic Republic."
Condition: Mint in original box.
