As a salute to those men of vision who sailed to the far horizons of the earth, and beyond, Bing & Grondahl launched their Explorer Series in 1978. This is the 1979 Edition - the GABRIEL mug, characterized by the subtle shades of Bing & Grondahl blue. Emblazoned in 24k gold is a silhouette of "The Gabriel," Vasco Da Gama's flagship on the expedition he took around the coast of Africa to India in 1498.

Dimensions: The mug measures 5" high and holds 1 pint.

Marks/Dates: 1979. Stamped and marked on the bottom of the mug in gold, and comes with its pamphlet.

Condition: Mint in its original box.
