This was the second issue of Royal Doulton's annual "Victorian Christmas" series of very special Yuletide plates, created to capture the glowing spirit of Christmas with beautiful, nostalgic art on bone china.

The artist who painted this lovely young Victorian-era girl, has ringed his work with the classic symbols of the season, green and red holly sprigs, alternating with embossed bells and angels.

Dimensions: 8 1/2" diameter.

Marks/Dates: 1978. Royal Doulton backstamp, as well as a poem for the season.

Condition: Excellent. In original velvet-lined box. No certificate.
