This limited issue plate is adapted from the young eagle sculpture by Edward M. Boehm and his artists and craftsmen. The eaglet represented to Mr. Boehm the spirit of youthful vigor and determination of our great Democracy. Even as a fledgling, it possesses a proud, independent look - promise of its majestic adulthood.

The plate is of fine bone porcelain with an inch wide hand applied intaglio gold border. The plate was limited to an issue of 6000, and comes in a white leatherette case with royal blue and red satin lining.

Dimensions: The plate measures 13" in diameter.

Dates/Marks: 1973. Stamped on the bottom (see photo). Comes with its descriptive booklet.

Condition: Mint. No cracks, chips or other damage. In original box with wrappings. There is fraying on one side of the leatherette box.
