This great mug was made by Ellgreave pottery which was a division of Wood & Sons who closed in 1981. This mug is made of ironstone and has a rendition of "The Merry Drinker" by Frank Hals on the front of it. No nicks, chips, cracks or crazing. There are two teensy pin head scratches on the edge of "The Merry Drinker". I show this in my pictures. Gold trim is intact. This is a very nice mug for display or use.
