Hotei the Laughing Buddha Porcelain Figurine Hong Kong
Scholars believe that the Laughing Buddha (Happy Buddha) is modeled on an historical figure, a fat wandering Zen monk named Pu-tai. Sources describe him as obese, with wrinkled forehead, and a white protruding belly which he left uncovered. Size: Hotei stands 9" high. Marks/Dates: There is an impressed triangle on the bottom back with "W.C.W." inside and "Made in Hong Kong." Condition: Ready to bring contentment to your life! No cracks, chips or other damage.
