Lefton Figurine Becky Thatcher Blue Tom Sawyer
Produced by the George Z Lefton Company, probably in the mid 1950s, this figurine represents is the same as the one marked Becky Thatcher, who was Tom Sawyer's friend from the Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. The differences are the hair is closer to blond and the dress is trimmed in blue, the shoes, base and tree stump are also lighter. What I find interesting about this piece is that I have found this same figurine used for 3 separate offerings. Here you will find the unnamed figurine in blue, I've also seen this exact figurine marked Becky Sharp from Thackeray's Vanity Fair and as Becky Thatcher of Tom Sawyer fame. The piece measures 5 3/4" on 2 3/4" wide at the base. It is in excellent condition with no damage, even the fragile flowers are intact. The wear to the base in minimal. The bottom is printed with the gold Lefton crown logo and the numbers KW225 . It also has the red and gold Made in Japan logo sticker. Condition: For more items please check out my other stores
