This Sebastian miniature of Anne Boleyn in her long gown and whipple is from the Shakespeare Series. There were several issues of this miniature but this particular piece was issued for the Sebastian Collectors Society.
Sebastian Miniatures was started in Massachusetts in 1945, by Prescott W. Baston. Their hand-cast and hand-painted pieces are prized by Sebastian Miniature collectors.
Dates/Marks: #SML-74A - Introduced in 1984 and discontinued that same year. The top of the base reads "Anne Boleyn," and the side is inscribed "Sebastian Collectors Society" and "copr 1984 P.W. Baston." Hand signed in pencil on the bottom, along with an orange Hudson sticker.
Condition: No chips or cracks, however there is a small paint chip on her cheek. Displayed in a glass cabinet.
