This Sebastian miniature was from the Parent & Child series and depicts a father and son raking leaves on an Autumn day. Of course, the father is raking and the boy is playing with his dog in the leaves but it is still a great scene.
Sebastian Miniatures was started in Massachusetts in 1945, by Prescott W. Baston. Their hand-cast and hand-painted pieces are prized by Sebastian Miniature collectors.
Dates/Marks: #SML-402 - Introduced in 1982 and discontinued in 1983, with 2739 produced. The base reads, "First Day Of Fall," and "copr 1982 P.W. Baston Jr." Hand signed in pencil on the bottom.
Condition: No chips or cracks. Displayed in a glass cabinet.
