This is the first in the series "Men who Made America." It is the figure of a gold miner with his pick and shovel, panning for gold.
Sebastian Miniatures was started in Massachusetts in 1945, by Prescott W. Baston. Their hand-cast and hand-painted pieces are prized by Sebastian Miniature collectors.
Dates/Marks: #SML-392 - Production of 6,018. Introduced in 1981/Retired in 1988. Side of base reads, "copr 1981 P.W. Baston Jr." Hand signed in pencil on the bottom.
Condition: No cracks, chips or other damage. Displayed in a glass cabinet.
